Local film policies
- Baw Baw Shire Council
The Baw Baw Shire Council fully supports and encourages filming activities in the region. Council must also protect its interests and assets and promote the reputation and profile of the Baw Baw Shire including its geographical, environmental, social and heritage assets. Council therefore asks film crews to download and complete an Event Application Form in order for the relevant permits, processes and arrangements to be made before the filming begins. Financial incentives
State Government
- Film Victoria - Programs and Initiatives
Both the Victorian and Federal governments vigorously support the film and television industry through various financial incentives. The Victorian Government has two financial incentive funds designed to attract productions to the State and the Federal Government offers a refundable film tax offset plus two tax concession schemes.
